Caring for Your Brindy Silk

Caring for your exquisite 100% Mulberry Silk is just as luxurious as wearing it. With the proper care, your Brindy Silk pieces can maintain their signature softness, lustre, and beauty for years to come.

Always refer to the care label included with your product for product-specific instructions.

Silk Pillowcases

Your Brindy Silk pillowcase should be treated gently to protect the delicate Mulberry Silk fibres and preserve its smooth, luxurious finish.

Hand Washing

For the gentlest care, hand wash your silk pillowcase in cool to lukewarm water, no warmer than 30–40°C, using a small amount of gentle, pH-neutral liquid detergent specifically suitable for silk or delicate fabrics.

Gently move the pillowcase through the water without rubbing, scrubbing, twisting, or wringing the fabric.

Machine Washing

If permitted on your product's care label, your silk pillowcase may be washed separately, inside out or with other delicate silk items using a delicate or silk cycle, cold water, and a protective mesh laundry bag.

Always use a gentle, pH-neutral liquid detergent suitable for silk.

Do not machine wash your Brindy Silk scrunchies, bonnets, or sleep masks. These items are hand wash only.

Silk Scrunchies, Bonnets, Sleep Masks & Heatless rollers

To protect their shape, silk fibres, elastic, padding, and construction, Brindy Silk Scrunchies, Silk Bonnets, Silk Sleep Masks & heatless rollers must be hand washed only.

Hand Wash with Love

Fill a clean basin with cool or lukewarm water, ideally around 30°C and never exceeding 40°C.

Add a small amount of gentle, pH-neutral liquid detergent designed for silk or delicate fabrics.

Gently submerge your silk item and lightly swish it through the water. Do not scrub, rub, twist, stretch, or wring.

Soak Gently

Allow your silk to soak briefly in the water. Avoid leaving silk submerged for extended periods.

Rinse with Care

Rinse thoroughly with clean, cool water until all detergent has been removed.

Avoid twisting or wringing the item to remove excess water.

Pat Dry with Grace

Place your silk item flat on a clean, soft towel. Gently roll or press the towel to absorb excess moisture.

Never rub or wring your silk.

Air Dry Naturally

Lay flat or hang your silk item to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat.

Never place Brindy Silk products in the dryer. Excessive heat and agitation can damage delicate silk fibres and may cause the fabric to shrink, stretch, lose its shape, or affect its luxurious finish.

Steaming & Wrinkles

If needed, gently steam your silk using a low to medium setting suitable for silk, keeping the steamer a safe distance from the fabric.

AVOID Ironing as it is prone to burning silk.

Storing Your Silk

Store your Brindy Silk pieces in a cool, clean, and dry place away from direct sunlight.

Pillowcases and sleep masks can be gently folded, while bonnets and scrunchies should be stored without heavy objects placed on top of them to help maintain their shape.

Avoid storing silk in damp environments or tightly compressed spaces for extended periods.

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your Brindy Silk, avoid:

• Bleach or harsh cleaning products

• Fabric softener

• Strong or alkaline detergents

• Machine washing scrunchies, bonnets, or sleep masks

• Tumble drying

• Wringing, twisting, or aggressively rubbing silk

• Prolonged soaking

• Direct sunlight while drying

• Excessive heat
