What sizes of silk pillowcases does Brindy Silk offer?
Brindy Silk pillowcases are currently available in two sizes:
Queen/Standard: 20" × 30" (51 × 76 cm)
King: 20" × 36" (51 × 91 cm)

What are Brindy Silk pillowcases made from?
Our Mulberry Silk pillowcases are crafted from 22 momme, Grade 6A Mulberry Silk for a luxuriously smooth, soft feel.
Grade 6A is a premium grade of Mulberry silk, known for its fine, long silk fibres, smooth texture and beautiful natural lustre.

What is momme?
Momme (pronounced mom-ee) is a measurement traditionally used to describe the weight and density of silk fabric.
It is somewhat comparable to thread count when shopping for other bedding, although the two measurements are not the same.
Generally, a higher momme means more silk is used to produce the fabric, resulting in a denser and more substantial material.
Brindy Silk uses 22 momme silk for our Mulberry Silk pillowcases, giving you a beautiful balance of softness, durability, breathability and luxury.
What does Grade 6A Mulberry Silk mean?
Mulberry silk is produced by silkworms that are primarily fed Mulberry leaves. It is prized for its long, fine and uniform fibres.
Silk may be classified according to quality, and 6A is commonly used to describe a premium grade of Mulberry silk.
The result is an exceptionally smooth, soft and lustrous fabric ideal for products that come into prolonged contact with your skin and hair.
What is the difference between 22 Momme Grade 6A Mulberry Silk and Brindy's 22 Momme Shiny Silk?
Our 22 Momme Grade 6A Mulberry Silk is made from premium Mulberry silk fibres and has the naturally smooth, soft and luxurious qualities associated with high-quality silk.
Our 22 Momme Shiny Silk has a more pronounced lustrous appearance and smooth finish.
Because specifications can differ between collections, we recommend reviewing the material details listed on the individual product page before purchasing.
Is silk the same thing as satin?
No. Silk is a natural fibre, while satin describes a type of weave.
Many products marketed as "satin" are made from synthetic fibres such as polyester. While satin can feel smooth, it is not necessarily silk.
Brindy's Mulberry Silk products are made using genuine silk as specified on the individual product page.
Why sleep on a Mulberry Silk pillowcase?
Silk's exceptionally smooth surface creates less friction against your hair and skin than many traditional bedding materials.

Will a silk pillowcase prevent wrinkles?
Silk cannot prevent the natural aging process or guarantee that wrinkles will not develop.
However, its exceptionally smooth surface creates less friction and pulling against the skin than many traditional pillowcase fabrics. This may help reduce temporary sleep creases and makes silk a beautiful addition to a skin-conscious nighttime routine.
Is silk good for your hair?
Silk's smooth surface creates less friction against the hair while you sleep. This can help reduce tangling, frizz and mechanical breakage.
It can be especially useful for people with long, curly, textured, colour-treated, extension-treated, dry or breakage-prone hair, although anyone can enjoy sleeping on silk.
Is silk suitable for sensitive skin?
Silk's smooth surface and low-friction feel make it a popular bedding choice for people who prefer gentle fabrics against their skin.
Individual sensitivities and allergies vary, however, so please consult an appropriate healthcare professional if you have a specific skin condition or medical concern.
Does silk help keep you cool?

What does OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 mean?
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is an independent textile certification system. A textile carrying the certification has been tested against OEKO-TEX's criteria for a wide range of regulated and non-regulated substances that may be harmful to human health.
It does not simply mean "chemical-free," since all materials are made of chemicals, but it provides additional assurance that the certified textile has undergone testing against established limits for harmful substances.

How do I know whether my pillowcase is real Mulberry Silk?
Check the fibre composition and product information provided by the seller rather than relying only on how shiny a fabric looks.
Genuine silk has a distinctive smooth, soft feel and natural lustre that changes subtly depending on the light.
Brindy Silk clearly identifies the material and silk specifications on applicable product pages so you know what you're purchasing.
CARING FOR YOUR SILK
How do I wash my Brindy Silk pillowcase?
Silk is a delicate natural fibre and should be treated with care.
For the longest possible lifespan, we recommend hand washing in cold water. If machine washing, use:
- Cold water, no warmer than 30°C / 85°F
- A delicate or gentle cycle
- A mesh/delicate laundry bag
- A mild, pH-neutral detergent suitable for silk
- Similar colours
Do not use bleach. Avoid harsh detergents and stain removers, and we recommend avoiding fabric softener.

Can I put my silk pillowcase in the dryer?
No. Do not tumble dry your Brindy Silk products.
Air dry your silk away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. Avoid wringing or twisting wet silk, as this can damage the fibres and distort the fabric.
Can I iron my silk?
If necessary, use the lowest silk-appropriate heat setting and preferably iron the product while it is slightly damp or use a protective cloth between the iron and silk.
Always follow the care label attached to your product.
How often should I wash my silk pillowcase?
How frequently you wash your pillowcase depends on personal preference, skincare and hair products, and your sleeping habits.
As a general guideline, washing your pillowcase approximately once a week helps keep it fresh. Those who use heavier nighttime skincare or hair products may prefer to wash it more frequently.
Can I use fabric softener on silk?
We recommend avoiding fabric softener. Silk is naturally soft, and fabric softeners can leave residue on the fibres and may affect the fabric's feel and appearance over time.
Can I use regular laundry detergent on silk?
We recommend using a gentle, pH-neutral detergent formulated for delicate fabrics or silk.
Avoid detergents containing bleach, optical brighteners, enzymes or other harsh cleaning agents that may damage delicate silk fibres.
How can I make my silk products last longer?
Proper care makes a significant difference. Hand wash or use a delicate cycle, wash in cold water, use a silk-safe detergent, avoid bleach and harsh chemicals, and always air dry.
We also recommend rotating between multiple pillowcases rather than repeatedly washing and using the same one.

What is the difference between the Blemish Control Pillowcase and regular Brindy Mulberry Silk?
Our regular Brindy Mulberry Silk Pillowcase gives you the luxurious softness and low-friction benefits of premium silk.
Our Blemish Control Pillowcase incorporates silver-ion technology into the fabric. Silver ions are used in textiles for their antimicrobial properties and can help inhibit the growth of certain microorganisms on the textile surface.
The Blemish Control collection may be a good option for customers looking for the benefits of silk combined with additional textile hygiene technology.
It is important to note that the Blemish Control Pillowcase is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent acne or any other medical condition.
What are silver ions?
Silver ions are electrically charged silver particles used in various textile applications for their antimicrobial properties.
When incorporated into textiles, silver-ion technology can help inhibit the growth of certain bacteria and microorganisms on the fabric, which may help keep the textile fresher between washes.
The technology is incorporated into our Blemish Control collection to complement the naturally smooth feel of silk.
What is the difference between the Forever Young Pillowcase and regular Brindy Mulberry Silk?
Both provide the smooth, luxurious feel of Brindy Silk, but our Forever Young Pillowcase incorporates hyaluronic acid technology into the fabric.
Hyaluronic acid is widely used in skincare because of its ability to attract and retain moisture.
The Forever Young Pillowcase combines our premium silk experience with this specialty textile treatment for customers looking to elevate their nighttime beauty routine.
Our regular Mulberry Silk Pillowcase provides the traditional benefits of a smooth, low-friction silk sleeping surface without the added hyaluronic acid treatment.
Does the Forever Young Pillowcase replace my skincare routine?
No. The Forever Young Pillowcase is designed to complement, not replace, your skincare routine.

What are the benefits of a silk sleep mask?
A silk sleep mask helps block light while providing a soft, smooth surface around the delicate eye area.
Silk's low-friction surface makes it an excellent material for a sleep accessory that rests against your skin for hours at a time.
How do I care for my silk sleep mask?
For best results, gently hand wash your silk sleep mask in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral silk detergent.
Do not bleach, wring or tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to air dry away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
Always follow the care label included with your product.
Can I return a silk sleep mask?
No. For hygiene reasons, all Brindy Silk sleep masks are final sale and non-refundable.

SILK SCRUNCHIES & HAIR ACCESSORIES
Why use a silk scrunchie instead of a regular hair elastic?
Traditional hair elastics can create friction and tension on the hair. Silk provides a smoother surface, allowing the scrunchie to glide against the hair with less pulling.
Silk scrunchies can help minimize snagging, tangling, creasing and mechanical breakage while still keeping your hair secured.
Are Brindy Silk scrunchies suitable for all hair types?
Yes. Silk scrunchies can be used with straight, wavy, curly, coily, fine, thick and textured hair.
Different scrunchie sizes may provide different levels of hold depending on your hair type and hairstyle.
Can I return scrunchies or hair accessories?
For hygiene reasons, scrunchies, hair accessories, hair brushes and combs are final sale and non-refundable, except where an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect or where otherwise required by law.
HEATLESS CURLERS
How do I use my Brindy Silk Heatless Hair Rollers?
For beautiful heatless curls:
- Start with hair that is approximately 80% dry, or lightly mist dry hair with water. Divide your hair into two sections.
- Position the curling ribbon over the top of your head and secure it with the included clip.
- Starting near your part, take a small section of hair and wrap it around the curling ribbon. Continue adding additional sections of hair as you work downward.
- Secure the ends with a silk scrunchie and repeat on the opposite side.
- Leave the curling ribbon in place for approximately 3–6+ hours. For more defined curls, you may leave it in for 6–8 hours or overnight.
- Gently unwrap your hair rather than pulling the ribbon out.
- Separate and style your curls with your fingers. Finish with your favourite styling or setting product if desired.
Results will vary depending on hair type, length, moisture level and how long the curls are allowed to set.
Do heatless curlers work on all hair types?
Results vary depending on your hair's natural texture, length, thickness and ability to hold a curl.
For many customers, experimenting with the amount of moisture, section size and setting time is the best way to determine what works for their hair.
